for the award of Ph.D. Degree in Chemical Engineering

Applications are invited for (20 vacancies) admission to the Ph.D. Programme in the Department of Chemical Engineering, University of Calcutta, for the year 2014.

Desirable Qualifications: B.E./B.Tech./M.E./M.Tech. in Chemical Engineering or Equivalent

Interested Candidates are requested to submit the filled in Application Form for the Admission to the Ph.D. Programme downloaded from the website of the University of Calcutta to the office of the Department of Chemical Engineering. Reservation of seats: SC = 22% and ST = 6% as per University rules.

Candidates having B.E./B.Tech. Degree with valid GATE score as well as candidates having M.E./M.Tech. Degree in Chemical Engineering are exempted from the Admission Test. However, they have to qualify in the interview. The filled in form should be submitted only after paying Rs. 100/- in the University Cash Counter (as application fee for Ph.D. admission) through a challan obtainable from the Cash Counter at C.U. duly forwarded by any faculty member of the Department with seal.
